Psychology Services
At Lucent Psychology, we offer a range of psychological services to support individuals, psychologists, and mental health professionals. Whether you are seeking therapy, an assessment, or clinical supervision, we tailor our approach to your personal goals and individual needs.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy at Lucent Psychology is suited to those who are ready to explore not just what they are struggling with, but why. Many of the people we work with feel caught in longstanding patterns that continue to impact their relationships, self-worth, emotions, and day-to-day lives.

Our main therapy approaches are Schema Therapy and Internal Family Systems. We also use other trauma-informed, experiential, and person-centred approaches that support deeper emotional awareness, self-understanding, and positive shifts in the way people relate to themselves and others.
We offer therapy for individuals aged 16 and over experiencing:

• Persistent anxiety and depression
• Personality disorders and personality vulnerabilities
• Complex trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
• Emotional dysregulation and impulsivity
• Eating disorders and body image concerns
• Neurodivergence (including those who identify as ADHDers or autistic)
• Gender dysphoria
• Relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, and trust concerns
• Low self-worth and chronic self-criticism
• Perfectionism and people-pleasing patterns
• Anger difficulties
• Self-harm and suicidal thoughts
• Stress, burnout, and emotional overwhelm
• Life transitions and adjustment difficulties
• Chronic shame and guilt

Assessment Services
At Lucent Psychology, we offer comprehensive, neuroaffirming ADHD and Autism assessments for adults aged 18 and over across Australia, conducted via telehealth. Our aim is not simply to provide answers, but to support greater self-understanding, validation, and insight into your neurotype.

We have a particular interest in high-masking and internalised presentations, including those commonly missed in women, gender-diverse individuals, and adults who have reached this point in life without a formal diagnosis. Many of the people we assess have spent much of their lives feeling different without fully understanding why. Our assessments are designed to be strengths-based, supportive, and as empowering as possible, honouring the process as one of self-discovery and helping you make sense of experiences that may have gone unrecognised for much of your life.

Telehealth Therapy
We offer secure telehealth appointments via video or phone for individuals across Australia. Telehealth can provide greater accessibility and flexibility for those who live remotely, have busy schedules, experience mobility or health difficulties, or simply prefer attending therapy from home.

Sessions are available via secure video platform or telephone, depending on individual preference and clinical suitability. We are committed to ensuring that telehealth sessions feel just as engaging, supportive, and effective as in-person therapy.
Supervision for Psychologists and Mental Health Professionals
Lucent Psychology offers clinical supervision for psychologists and mental health professionals at all stages of their careers. Sheena Takacs and Natasha Shalala are both Board-Approved Supervisors, providing supervision for psychologists working toward full registration, Clinical Psychology Registrars, and those wanting to deepen their therapeutic skills. We warmly welcome any mental health professional seeking reflective, supportive, and skills-based supervision, regardless of their primary therapeutic approach.

Sheena is also an Advanced Accredited Schema Therapy Supervisor with the International Society of Schema Therapy, offering specialised supervision for psychologists working toward Schema Therapy certification.
Supervision sessions are available in person or via telehealth.
